Circle handles the blockchain gas and Fivo charges a flat fee to cover all network costs. On Ethereum L1, where gas is more expensive and variable, Fivo estimates the cost in real time with a 20% safety buffer. Any difference between estimated and actual cost is settled on your next withdrawal.

What is a gas adjustment or gas credit?

Gas adjustments only apply to Ethereum L1 withdrawals. After each L1 withdrawal, Fivo compares the estimated gas fee with the real on-chain cost. A gas credit means you paid more than needed; the excess is subtracted from your next withdrawal. A gas adjustment means gas was higher than estimated; the difference is added. On Layer 2 chains, this does not apply because Fivo charges a fixed $0.01 fee with no adjustments.
